Childhood Education/Human Services

Program Description

The Childhood Education and Human Services Program is designed to prepare students to work with infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school age children. Students are introduced to careers in education and instructed in the steps they need to take to pursue a teaching career. This program introduces students to elementary school math, science, reading, and social studies instruction. Students are also trained to work with people with disabilities and the elderly. In cooperation with the Community College of Vermont students are able to earn six college credits in early childhood education while participating in this program. Students are also able to attend Champlain College or Community College of Vermont for additional credits.
